Santa Video Message

This is so awesome! It's a personalized video message from Santa to your child and it's free! I just did one for each of my children it's just adorable! The boys are gonna freak when they see it. All you do is just add some info about your child like: what toy he/she wants, where they live, his/her name, color of eyes/hair, and a few other things. You download a picture too which goes into the "nice" book. He'll even say your child's name if it is a common one. They didn't say my son Trysten's name because it is spelled differently, but they did say my son Gavin's name. Anyway, go HERE to try it out! It doesn't take long and they don't take any of your personal info or anything. They do ask for your name and email at the end but I just put my first name in and it worked. If you want to see what it's like first for HERE to check out my oldest son's video.

Fall is here!

I found these adorable fall ideas over at Heartland Paper. So stinkin' cute. I really gotta make time to make these. I especially love the wreath. I don't know why but I am really into wreaths this year. I want to put them on every wall of my house. :)

Fall Wall Hanger

Fall hanger

To make this on your own, you will need:
8 heavy weight patterned papers (we used My Mind's Eye)
4 5x7 photos
"FALL" die cut lettering (we cut ours using the QuicKutz silhouette)
1 sheet of 12X12 Autumn shape stickers by Reminisce
1 sheet of Autumn words stickers by Reminiscec
1 dowel
2 dowel caps
Jump rings
Brown Ink Pad
Corner Rounder
Small Hole punch
Pop Dots
Assorted Ribbons

Instructions:
Cut patterned papers to 5x7 cards, round corners of papers and photos.
Lay out papers and photos in desired order.
Using pop dots, adhere lettering to cards
Place stickers as desired or as shown in photograph
Punch holes in the center top, bottom, and sides of each card (do not punch holes in outside edges of cards) *Be careful to punch holes evenly so that they will match up from card to card.
Using jump rings, connect cards on sides and top and bottom.
Thread ribbon through jump ring connected to the top cards and tie around dowel.
Tie a variety of ribbons around dowel to add fluff!

Paper Loop Wreath: This classic wreath can bring a splash of fall color to your door. It is simple to make and can easily be customized to match your decor.
Fall Wreath Full
To make this wreath, you will need:
8-10 patterned papers
Stapler
1 foam wreath base
Glue gun and glue sticks
Ribbon for tying

Instructions:
Cut each patterned paper into 36 1X4" strips
Staple each piece in half, forming a loop of paper
Begin gluing pieces to wreath base around the outer edge of the wreath. Overlap pieces slightly. Continue in layers until wreath is covered completely.
Fall wreath close
After entire wreath is covered, fluff loops out so they fill up the open spaces.
Attach ribbon with pins in back of wreath. Tie in bow and hang where desired.

Bat Puppets

The boys and I made these cute bat puppets together the other day. They had a lot of fun and were pretty proud of them. We just used black socks, felt, yarn, and to make the wings not so flimsy I used foam sheets. Pretty easy and pretty fun. They kept them occupied for rest of the afternoon at least. :)

Thankful Tree

Every year I try to make something during this time of year to remind us of the things we are thankful for. Last year I cut a branch off of our tree and stuck it in a pot filled with rocks. We cut out colorful leaves and tied ribbon on them. Then we would fill them out every day with things we are thankful for and hang them on our "tree." We do it every day or at least every F.H.E. until the Thanksgiving comes around. The kids loved it and soon the tree had thankful leaves hanging all over it.
I found this cute idea today on Roots and Wings Co. I might have to try it out this year. I bet the kids would have fun with this one too. I love her idea how she has the leaves falling onto the ground with the things they are thankful for. Or you could start with a bare tree and fill the tree full with thankful leaves too.

Ghostly Trick or Treat Bag

Here is a cute idea from Mama Thompson. I just think it's adorable! If you are not a sewer, you can just by a cheapo bag from Michaels and put your kids cute little feet on that. I was actually thinking about just putting their feet on black paper and framing it. I can stick it on my entryway table for all to see! If I ever get around to making this I will post a picture of it!

File Folder Games

I just found a great website where you can get free File Folder Games. I don't know about you but it is so hard to get my kids to sit still anywhere we go. These are awesome things to throw together and carry around with you whenever you need them so they will sit still for a while. I use these at church and they just love them! Here are a couple of websites to check out:
Crafty Chic
File Folder Fun
The awesomest thing about these is that they come in color so you don't have to color them yourself! That makes it totally worth it for me. :)
